There are many different ways that people can volunteer to help the Animals at Heart Organization, such as:
Administration – Animals at Heart also uses volunteers to assist in administrative details such as proof-reading documents or getting items ready to be mailed or distributed. Administrative volunteers can also help by donating their professional essay writing services, such as in grant writing or print media services.
Education – Volunteers who have completed the training requirements for our educational programs can assist us in doing educational demonstrations such as the ones for our PACT Program’s dog bite prevention and education.
Events – Animals at Heart occasionally has events that require the assistance of volunteers. For example, following a major disaster such as a hurricane, the ANGEL Program relies on the assistance of volunteers to help with the distribution of relief supplies to pet owners who were affected.
Fundraising Efforts – We need people who can help us solicit funds and pet supplies for our programs! Volunteers who wish to assist with fundraising would be responsible for things such as organizing a donation drive in your area or soliciting matching contributions from companies who have such programs.
Material Distribution – Animals at Heart occasionally needs material distributed to places such as animal hospitals and veterinary clinics. An example of the type of material we distribute would be post cards that we give to veterinarians who agree to then hand them out to people who are suffering the loss of a pet. The postcards tell the pet owner about our pet loss services and our online chats.
Newsletter Production – Do you like to write? Do you have ideas or questions that you wish someone would do an article on? Then perhaps you would like to help with our quarterly newsletter. The Animals at Heart Newsletter needs people who enjoy factual and informative writing, don’t mind researching hot topics, or someone who has creative ideas for potential stories.
